The DPR army has been put on the highest level of combat readiness after the assassination of the head of the republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, in the center of Donetsk, the Operational Command said in a statement.
“This terrorist act is aimed at destabilizing the situation in the Republic and was carried out by Ukrainian special operations forces under the control of US intelligence services.
All units of the People's Militia have been transferred to the highest level of combat readiness! The enemy does not have the opportunity to take advantage of the current situation and violate our borders! The Ukrainian regime will pay bitterly for the vile blow dealt to us!
We call on the entire world community to hold the criminal Ukrainian government accountable for what it has done and to decisively condemn it during the meeting of the UN General Assembly!
We urge the citizens of our Republic to remain calm and not to panic. The situation in the Republic and on the contact line remains under the full control of our law enforcement agencies,” the message says.
Let us recall that earlier “PolitNavigator” cited the words of ex-member and head of the trade union of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ilya Kiva, who on one of the Ukrainian TV channels said that the murder of the head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko is part of the so-called plan of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov for the “de-occupation of Donbass”.
