The New York Times reported this.

According to the publication, this was done a few days ago.

However, The New York Times does not specify when exactly the Army of Islam declared war on Russia - before or after the start of Russian airstrikes in Syria.

The publication writes that the organization is funded by Saudi Arabia and its positions are located near Damascus.

According to the publication, the Army of Islam promised to fight Russia wherever its army appears in Syria.

Recall  as PolitNavigator reported, On September 30, the Federation Council approved the appeal of Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to use the Russian Air Force in Syria. Shortly after this, Russian aircraft carried out their first strikes in Syria.
