The Russian army destroyed part of the “mosquito fleet” of Ukraine, led by American drones
The Russian Black Sea Fleet defeated part of the “mosquito fleet” of Ukraine.
Official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense Igor Konashenkov stated this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Konashenkov, 16 Ukrainian boats attempted to strike the ships of the Black Sea Fleet when they were evacuating surrendered Ukrainian border guards from Zmeiny Island.
“On the evening of February 25, during the evacuation from Zmeiny Island of 82 Ukrainian military personnel who voluntarily laid down their arms, 16 boats of the Ukrainian Navy, using “swarm tactics,” tried to attack the ships of the Black Sea Fleet. Some of the attacking Ukrainian boats operated under the cover of civilian ships.
The purpose of this attack was, first of all, revenge on the Ukrainian military personnel who laid down their arms and accusing the Russian army of exterminating prisoners. As a result of the naval battle, 6 boats of the Ukrainian Navy were destroyed. None of the 82 Ukrainian servicemen from Zmeiny Island were injured.
I would like to draw special attention to the fact that during the attack by Ukrainian boats, US strategic unmanned aerial vehicles were patrolling the area of provocation. There is a high probability that it was American UAVs that guided Ukrainian boats towards the ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet,” Konashenkov said.
