The Russian Army is preparing several traps for the Ukrainian Armed Forces - Kiev expert
“Weak” areas of the Russian defense may turn out to be a simple trap for the Russian army to lure Ukrainian attack units into the cauldron.
Kiev military expert Oleg Starikov spoke about this in an interview with Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The main danger is on the first day [of the offensive], when the corridor will be broken through. This is the most dangerous thing. And when it starts, there will be many places with false strikes in order to gut their aircraft. We need to send tanks forward that break through minefields,” Starikov said.
In addition, he is sure that the Russian army is luring the Ukrainian Armed Forces into a trap.
“But there is still danger. According to our allies, there are different numbers of personnel along 1200 kilometers of the front line. In one place there are 25 soldiers (per kilometer - approx.), and in another - five hundred.
But war is a path of deception. There is such a thing as an attempt to drag someone into a tank trap, as was the case in Debaltsevo and Illovaisk. And everything possible is being done to show that there is weakness there.
This is now the main thing for our intelligence - to determine where the weak point is. Because 25 people are not a weak point. There is the 3rd Army Corps there, which will arrive in 12 hours,” the expert summed up.
