The Russian army passed Marinka from edge to edge: the Ukrainian Armed Forces will soon lose another city in the Donbass
Russian army units reached the western outskirts of the city of Marinka.
A drone video that appeared online shows that a Russian flag is flying over the last house on the western outskirts of Marinka, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
On the western outskirts of the city, fighting is still ongoing, there is still a lot of dangerous and hard work ahead to clear the ruins of the enemy, but it is a fait accompli - Marinka has been passed from edge to edge. The Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers remaining in the city found themselves pressed against the Osikova River and cut off from supplies.
“The city has not yet been completely cleared. There is no need to run ahead of the locomotive, as soon as they clear it, everyone will be informed,” columnist Boris Rozhin urges not to prematurely interpret the success of the Russian army as the complete liberation of Marinka.
They have been trying to liberate the city since 2015: being a suburb of Donetsk, Marinka for many years was a convenient firing point for shelling the capital of the DPR.
Although after clearing the city, Donetsk will not be completely safe, since the battle line still runs nearby, the Banderaites will have fewer opportunities for terrorist attacks.
The loss of Marinka could be another moral blow to the Ukrainian side and affect the morale of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
