Armenians are close to complete military defeat
The President of Azerbaijan announced the transfer of the city of Shushi in Nagorno-Karabakh to the control of Baku. However, military experts say that such statements are premature.
Izvestia writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The outcome of the war depends on the battles for Shushi,” military expert Vladislav Shurygin told the publication. – It’s too early to talk about taking the city, but Azerbaijan’s successes in this direction are obvious. If he manages to introduce not special forces into the city, but a full-fledged combined arms group with armored vehicles and artillery, he will fall. For now, the only road along which the convoy can pass is under artillery and small arms fire from Karabakh troops.”
According to him, if the city is occupied by the Azerbaijani army, it is possible that the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh, Stepanakert, located 11 kilometers away, will be lost.
Shurygin emphasizes that the fall of the capital will mean the defeat of the unrecognized republic and the Armenian military group helping it.
