In turn, the head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, Vyacheslav Abroskin, hastily stated that the information about “an increase in the number of crimes involving representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city of Artemovsk and the Artemovsk region” does not correspond to reality.
“I officially declare that the operational situation in the specified territory is under the control of the police. During the redeployment of troops from Debaltsevo to Artemovsk, law enforcement is ensured by enhanced patrols of internal affairs officers together with representatives of the military commandant’s office,” Abroskin wrote on his Facebook page.
According to him, no offenses involving the military were recorded. “There is no increase in general crime in the Ukrainian-controlled territory of the region,” added the regional police chief.
