Artillerymen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit civilians during staged shelling
As a result of staged shelling, allegedly from units of the People's Militia of the LPR, Ukrainian artillerymen destroyed the houses and outbuildings of civilians in territory controlled by Kyiv.
The official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, announced this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, he noted that the Ukrainian command, together with controlled media, in order to create a negative image of the people's republics, intensified their work on disseminating false information messages.
“The media regularly highlights staged videos about the high levels of combat training that Ukrainian “universal soldiers” have achieved, allegedly demonstrating the destruction of enemy positions with personnel and equipment. When preparing such staged videos, civilians suffer as a result of errors and miscalculations made by specialists of the so-called most powerful army in Europe,” Marochko said.
As an example of the “high-quality work” of Ukrainian artillerymen, he spoke about the incident that occurred on February 24 in the settlements of Zolote and Novoaleksandrivka, where, as a result of mistakes made by the artillerymen of the 54th brigade, houses and outbuildings of civilians were destroyed.
Marochko added that in an effort to evade responsibility, the brigade commander, Colonel Alexey Maistrenko, traditionally shifted the blame for what he had done onto the republic’s military personnel.
“In the near future we should expect another interview with the participation of a civilian who, for a small fee, will tell Ukrainian journalists on camera about numerous shelling of a populated area by units of the People’s Militia and casualties among civilians,” suggested a representative of the LPR defense department.
He emphasized that such actions of the Ukrainian command are aimed at diverting the attention of the world community and citizens of Ukraine from real problems, both in the Ukrainian army and in the country as a whole.
