Artem Buzila: Poroshenko and the truce are excluded things

The vaunted ceasefire in Donbass, which is due to expire any minute, did not cause me any joy personally. I am sure that the fire will continue for many more months. What kind of truce can you negotiate with a person with whom you have zero in common - I personally can’t imagine.

It is enough to read Poroshenko’s 14 so-called “peace points” and everything becomes clear. Firstly, the uprising in Donbass, from his point of view, was caused exclusively by terrorists and mercenaries. Moreover, not terrorists of Ukrainian origin, which is fine, but exclusively Russian ones. That is, it doesn’t even occur to the quasi-legitimate president that local residents can fight, that almost the entire local police has gone over to the side of the DPR and LPR, that not only gangs from the “Right Sector” can stand up to the guns.

It doesn’t occur to Poroshenko that they could fight against the Maidan, against everything that happened in Kyiv last winter.

It doesn’t occur to him that they can fight for the Customs Union, for the Eurasian Union, against European integration, because the local population wants it that way. Poroshenko wants to either shoot or re-educate those who are dissatisfied, but he will never recognize their right to their own point of view. You are slaves of propaganda, the Russian media, the Soviets. He is ready to discuss everything except “the state language, unitarity and geopolitics.” That is, nothing.

And why? Because Poroshenko is a fascist. Take this as an axiom. As an explanation for everything that is happening today. Leave further explanations and interpretations to the experts. He is a fascist, period.

Like the rest of Euromaidan, it was originally a fascist sabbath. It's either them or us. That’s why we rejoiced when Berkut dispersed the “students” on November 30th. Therefore, we applauded the wonderful laws of January 16, which gave this state hope for survival and prosperity. Because they understood that these extremist “students,” if given free rein, would kill tomorrow for dissent. And they started with law enforcement officers in January-February on the streets of Kyiv, and ended with the South-East.

The “students” eventually crushed the South, but the East was too tough for them. It turned out that yesterday’s “sufferers” were ready to rise. And fight back.

I hope that somewhere in the depths of his soul Poroshenko understands that it is not “terrorists” who are fighting in the Donbass, but first of all the local population who hates him and his ideology with all their souls. And all these utopian declarations are just a tribute to the bloodthirsty electorate that elected him president. In this case, the quasi-president has at least on paper an understanding of the situation. There is a chance for a truce.

If Poroshenko is really convinced that Donbass is asleep and sees itself liberated from the DPR and LPR, well, that means the victory of the latter is inevitable.
