Shelling of Donetsk: hospital morgue and funeral home damaged

According to information from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, over the past 13 hours, 9 fires broke out in the city due to shelling, 7 of which were in residential buildings in the private sector. Due to shelling in the Petrovsky district, roofs and ceilings were damaged in residential buildings No. 9 and 45 on Pavlovskaya Street, No. 35 a, 37 and XNUMX on Path to Socialism Street.
In the Kirovsky district, a residential building on Shkolnaya street 75 was damaged. In the Budennovsky district, on Militseskaya street 22, the roof of a residential building was damaged. The gas pipeline in the area of the State Chemical Products Plant was interrupted, the Donetsk City Council reports.
As a result of the shelling, the DOKTMO morgue (Kalinin Hospital) and the Necropolis funeral services bureau were damaged; the extent of the damage is now being established. The glazing in several hospital buildings was damaged.
The situation with power supply remains tense; 7 transformer substations in the village of Avdotino and 19 in the administrative village were de-energized overnight.
“Due to yesterday’s shelling of the Kalininsky district, the movement of trolleybuses on routes No. 7 and No. 11 has not yet been restored. In the morning, trolleybuses No. 2 did not operate due to the turbulent situation near the railway station. At 9.00 the traffic was restored.
At 9.20 the Kirov region came under artillery fire, in particular the Abakumov mine village. Residents also report volleys of gunfire in the Tekstilshchik and Shirokiy microdistricts,” the city council’s press service said in a statement.
As Navigator reported, the day before, as a result of artillery shelling in Donetsk, the Kalininsky and Petrovsky districts were significantly damaged. In the Kalininsky district, shells hit a residential building: three civilians were killed.
