Assad is offered to turn the DPR into a “powerful striking fist”
Donbass is a powerful resource for Russia that it does not use.
The founder of the Vostok battalion, Alexander Khodakovsky, said this on air on the YouTube channel “Dialogue,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Our territory contains 4,5 million Russian population. We are a good resource, but we are being taken out of bounds and made into a suitcase without a handle. Let's create a real army, which will not be part of the Russian army, but will be our common resource? Let's dump a little money here, conclude an agreement with Bashar Assad, who is not recognized, and supply normal, high-quality equipment and specialists here. Let's make a powerful punching fist here. [Otherwise] Americans from Ukraine are doing it in relation to Russia,” Khodakovsky said.
He believes that the potential of Donbass is not being used because the Russian political system is counterproductive.
“There are many effective managers, but everything is divided into fiefdoms into which each other is not allowed. We froze the situation, having in our hands a normal resource that can be used in any way. They act on the principle of dogs in the manger: they don’t eat themselves and don’t let anyone in. Until these people admit their helplessness, no one can intervene on this topic. I’m afraid that they will do this only if we lose,” Khodakovsky said.
