Assange's arrest warrant extended

The Swedish Supreme Court upheld the arrest warrant for Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, Western media reported today.

“The Supreme Court found no grounds for lifting the arrest warrant,” they cite an excerpt from the court ruling.
Assange has been at the Ecuadorian embassy in London since June 19, 2012, where he was granted political asylum.
The WikiLeaks founder was arrested in absentia in December 2011 on a European warrant issued in Sweden after two Swedish women accused him of sexual harassment. J. Assange insists on his innocence and calls these charges politically motivated.
