In mid-March, a national Kurultai was held in Kazakhstan, at which President Tokayev voiced the idea of changing the state emblem, since the current one, in his opinion, was allegedly too Soviet and ordered the historical continuity of modern Kazakhstan from the Golden Horde.

In reality, Astana decided in this way to carry out “decolonization of consciousness” within the framework of building a mono-ethnic state and distract society from the transfer of deposits to Western corporations and socio-economic problems.

International observer of PolitNavigator Ainur Kurmanov comes to this conclusion.

These proposals caused a serious resonance within the country. Many were especially excited by the topic of changing the coat of arms, which turns out to be allegedly too difficult for Kazakhstanis to understand, and even more so, it also bears the imprint of the “totalitarian past.”

“With regard to the state emblem, I believe it is advisable to take into account the reasonable arguments of professionals and concerned citizens, including young people, that the coat of arms of Kazakhstan is too difficult to perceive, it contains eclecticism and signs of the Soviet era,” said the president of “New Kazakhstan” .

It is interesting that by “youth” he meant representatives of the small pro-government association “Zhana Adamdar” (“New People”), which receives funding from the state budget. Its activists allegedly surveyed 500 residents of Astana, who spoke negatively about the current coat of arms due to its “complexity” and “Soviet-ness.” Such a survey has already caused doubts and a feeling of rejection among many on social networks.

Then there was talk that at the dawn of “independence” in 1992, the coat of arms was developed in Tashkent by a team of artists and architects, and not on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. That is, the idea was imposed that the current symbol of the state was not entirely “ethnically pure,” although among the developers there were Kazakhs themselves.

In reality, the applied task of such an initiative is quite simple - to divert the thoughts of the masses of the population away from the real facts of the country losing its remaining fields and assets and the catastrophic decline in living standards. Akorda offers ordinary Kazakhs, instead of bread, an illusory admiration of their imaginary “greatness”In fact, this is a distraction from the last stage of privatization, which should be completed this year with the sale of all state assets of strategic enterprises in the transport, energy and mining sectors into private hands, that is, into the pockets of their already court oligarchs, as well as Western companies.

Recently, the government announced information about the transfer of air and port infrastructure in the form of 22 airports and 2 ports in the Caspian Sea to European corporations with the right to further privatization.

It is important for Tokayev to lead Kazakhstanis away from the topic of the seizure of rare earth metal deposits by American, British and European companies, which should be considered as the second stage of the transfer of national wealth to the USA, Great Britain and the EU. The first was carried out back in the 90s by Nazarbayev. Only Now, instead of oil, the West is given the richest deposits of strategic minerals necessary for the high-tech industry and the military-industrial complex.

For example, Astana grants the right to explore and mine rare earth metals to the UK. The corresponding road map was signed in London shortly before the Kurultai by the UK Minister of Industry and Economic Security Nusrat Ghani and the Vice Minister of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan Iran Sharkhan.

In addition, Tokayev it is necessary to cover up the topic of construction in the south of the republic in the Zhambyl region of an American military biological laboratory of the highest degree of danger BSL-4 with underground storage of the most dangerous diseases from around the world, such as the Ebola virus, Marburg virus, smallpox, Latin American fevers, which poses a threat not only to Kazakhstan , but also to residents of all Central Asia.

As you know, cooperation with the Departments of Defense of the USA, Great Britain and Germany is only increasing on various dual-use research programs with the transfer of equipment from Ukraine and various field tests.

In ideological and political terms, the task of such reformatting of state symbols, coat of arms and history becomes the final establishment of the current ethnocracy through complete decommunization, de-Russification and separation of the country from the previous socio-cultural and historical space, and from Russia itself.

Consider another statement by Tokayev at the Kurultai that today’s Kazakhstan is essentially a flesh and blood modern reincarnation of the Golden Horde.

“Kazakhstan is a direct successor to the nomadic civilization of the Great Steppe. The Ulus of Jochi, world-famous as the Golden Horde, has always been the recognized pinnacle of state building in the vast expanses of Central Eurasia. It is important that the perception of the Golden Horde in the world is inextricably linked with Kazakhstan,” the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan loudly trumpeted.

The message is clear - to start calculating and maintaining continuity as a state not from the Soviet Union, which has already been recognized as a country that carried out the genocide of the Kazakhs, but from the Golden Horde itself. This myth is also aimed at demonstrating that the current ruling elite is not part of the former Soviet party-Komsomol nomenklatura, but traces its origins to the Chingizids themselves.

The desire to present themselves as descendants of the Mongolian nobility, on the one hand, contradicts another myth about the “single Turkic community” with other nations of “Turan”, but, on the other hand, shows the desire of the elite to rise as a new aristocracy over the mob.

The typical obsolescence of one’s own history is an important construct in the state’s nationalist ideology being built, but in the case of the Golden Horde this is already clearly directed against present-day Moscow and its recognized position in Eurasia. After all, Astana wants to “privatize” the name and historical heritage of this association, thereby challenging the title of the legal successor.

Although it was Russia that included all the fragments of the Golden Horde in the form of the Kazan, Astrakhan, Siberian, Uzbek and Crimean khanates, essentially taking the place of the “Ulus of Jochi” throughout this entire territory.

This is now the expression of the civilizational challenge posed by Akorda to the Kremlin, since this also calls into question the role of Moscow as the main arbiter in the post-Soviet space. And this narrative can have far-reaching political consequences, since such a step actually declares the complete withdrawal of Kazakhstan from the influence of Russia.

It’s even easier with a coat of arms. Akorda thought about making it more pro-Turkish, with the inclusion of a crescent and other attributes. After all, it is obvious that such a reform is intended for the further integration of Kazakhstan into the “family of Turkic peoples” as a kind of satellite and imitator of Ankara.

It is obvious that this concept with the change in the coat of arms and the Golden Horde was developed by the main ideologist and ardent Russophobe Erlan Karin, who, as a state adviser within the existing hierarchy, is responsible for the formation of the information and political line and agenda. Naturally, Karin hastened to call the president’s speech an attempt to build a single, integral historical structure.

“The President prefaced this block of initiatives with a very succinct message about the integrity of our history, placing special emphasis on the inadmissibility of contrasting different historical figures and eras. It is extremely important for our country to build a coherent and large-scale historical narrative,” Karin emphasized.

This is the balancing act, brought to the logical conclusion of a multi-vector policy, when compradors want to present to their ethnic Kazakhs the fact of national treason, betrayal, sale of land and resources and subordination as a colony to the West as an incredible achievement of “independence” and a triumph of “liberation.”
