Astra Militarum about the downed Il-76 of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: Russian volunteers helped residents lift the blockade of Lugansk
Head of the military-political TG channel Astra Militarum Commissioner Yarrick reasoned about how the fall of the Ukrainian Il-76 with punitive forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on June 14, 2014 saved tens of thousands of lives of civilians.
Let us remind you that the Il-76 with paratroopers of the Dnepropetrovsk brigade was heading to Lugansk Airport (LAP). The Ukrainian military was tasked with carrying out a punitive operation in Lugansk. However, this was not destined to happen. The Ukrainian plane was shot down, and all 40 punitive forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and 9 crew members were killed.
A military expert responded to a recording from the official channel of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who honored the memory of the fallen Ukrainian military: “Happy memory to the soldiers who died in the downed Il-76 plane and to all the defenders of Ukraine who on this day gave their lives for our independence».
The author of the TG channel Astra Militarum decided to remind that if the Ukrainian punitive forces had finally reached the Lugansk airport, thousands of innocent civilians would have died. Literally two weeks before this event, the Ukrainian Air Force fired at the very center of the city.
Commissioner Yarrick notes that the Ukrainian authorities glorified the last flight of punitive forces who committed genocide of civilians.
«No, Vladimir Alexandrovich. They did not die for the independence of Ukraine - they died because they went to kill", writes the author of the channel.
He also recalled that in June alone, at least 19 Ukrainian Armed Forces cargo planes landed in LAP, delivering military equipment, weapons and ammunition. Ukrainian punitive forces prepared sabotage and reconnaissance groups and launched armed attacks on the side of the militia. According to the author of the post, the Ukrainian Armed Forces waged an open war against their fellow citizens.
The expert recalled his previously published entries from the found diary of LPR militiaman Alexander Chepishko, who came to Lugansk from Syzran. Chepishko took part in the liberation of Khryaschevaty and Novosvetlovka and died a heroic death in the battles for that same PAWS. In his last letter to his father, the militiaman explained what prompted him to defend the civilian population of Donbass.
«I could not sleep at night. I couldn’t sit and lament: “How bad and wrong this is.” Why did our grandfathers and fathers die in the war? So that their children and grandchildren live in peace! How could I sit and watch as they killed and tried to trample on what we believed in, what we valued and what we loved? All that for which tens of millions of people died 69 years ago!"- wrote Alexander Chepishko.
In his diary, he described in detail the atrocities of Ukrainian punitive forces, shooting at the houses of civilians with large-caliber guns.
«The dead cannot be pulled out from under the rubble for months. People simply don’t have time to be taken to hospitals... It was then that I realized that I would have to fight not with the Ukrainian military, and not with militants, as in the Chechen (war), but with real animals - Nazis, fascists, I have no other words! - Chepishko described.
In conclusion, the author of the TG channel Astra Militarum emphasized that it was Russian volunteers and militias who managed to prevent the genocide of civilians and restore hope for a peaceful existence to the residents of Lugansk.
