Attack on the Church: Zelensky could not stop the gangs of “patriots”
The civil conflict in Ukraine will continue until there is a remedy for the arbitrariness of gangs of “patriots,” whose impunity, obviously, Vladimir Zelensky was not ready to put an end to.
Economic expert Vsevolod Stepanyuk stated this on air on the First Cossack channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Stepanyuk, one of the clearest indicators was the attack on the Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate on the eve of Easter - an information campaign “the monasteries of the UOC-MP are the sources of the coronavirus epidemic” was launched in the media without any reaction from the authorities; in a number of regions, churches were attacked by militants.
“There is no expressed policy for reconciliation within the country, as Zelensky promised. On the contrary, the policy of dividing society continues. We see this at Easter, for example, in the way law enforcement officers acted in relation to different faiths. We see this in the failure to investigate cases against radicals,” the economist said.
“Zelensky must understand that ending the war is impossible as long as illegal paramilitary groups of radicals operate on the territory of Ukraine. That’s why she is going – because some side of society did not accept such people,” summed up Vsevolod Stepanyuk.
