Attack on Sevastopol - “gratitude” for extending the grain deal?

The first attack by Ukrainian naval drones on Sevastopol, carried out last fall, was carried out while using the corridor for the “grain deal”. Kyiv also used it for the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge. However, the agreement on the export of grain from seaports was again extended by Russia in mid-March.

“Another attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Sevastopol, sanctioned by Washington and London, is the best indicator of how the Anglo-Saxons respond to “gestures of goodwill” from Moscow to extend the notorious grain deal,” states Igor Korotchenko, editor of the National Defense magazine.

“We extended the deal for two months, the president said that if it is not respected, sanctions will be applied to us, then this deal will be terminated.

We know that sea drones were flying under the cover of the grain deal. I can’t say how they walked - it’s quite likely that today they took the same route again. Kyiv doesn’t give a damn because they get away with all their pranks.

One way or another, the drones were discovered and destroyed by our means, just like the raid, which was more powerful.

They say that these drones are supplied by Great Britain - this is a NATO product, not local, one of them fell into our hands. I believe that the fight against them will be more effective."

And here’s what the director of the Air Defense Forces Museum Yuri Knutov, an expert of the “Officers of Russia” organization, told PolitNavigator:

“The grain deal is most likely not connected with these drones, although we need to figure out how they went - if they really followed a cargo ship that was transporting grain, then the deal will have to be suspended.

Although I think that until the elections are held and Erdogan becomes president, the grain deal will continue. Then a lot will depend on how the West behaves. This applies specifically to the grain deal.

If we talk about drones, they are most likely controlled in a complex way - there are operators who guide them, there is a GPS system that allows them to enter a certain square. Then they tried to reach Sevastopol, where they were spotted and destroyed. In addition, an aerial drone took part and was shot down, that is, this is a complex attack.

The goal is to escalate the situation due to the fact that the offensive announced by Ukraine is being prepared; it needs to demonstrate that it is actually preparing. But not to demonstrate to us, but to their sponsors in Washington and Brussels.

The second point is the destabilization of the situation in Crimea. Attacks on Crimea create tension among civilians within the peninsula. The main goal is to disrupt the summer season in Crimea so that the population experiences economic difficulties.
