Attack on Ukrainian ammunition depots in Donbass – a large-scale fire started
In the city of Svatovo, Lugansk region (controlled by Ukrainian troops), on Thursday evening a large-scale fire started in military warehouses, where 3,5 thousand tons of ammunition were located.
At least one person died as a result of the explosions, and there were also injuries. Eyewitnesses report destruction in areas adjacent to the warehouses.
Lugansk journalist Valentin Torba writes in his blog about 9 square kilometers of the burned city. “There are many destroyed houses, which was not reported at first,” he clarifies.
“There is horror at the epicenter of the explosion. The shells were flying. There is a sticking out at my sister’s entrance 4 km away... Who should we demand compensation from in such cases? We had production near the dairy plant,” writes entrepreneur Dmitry Frolov.

Ukrainian authorities stated that the cause of the fire was sabotage - according to preliminary data, two shots from a rocket launcher were fired into the warehouses. One rocket was extinguished by the Ukrainian military, the second set fire to warehouses.
The head of the military-civil administration of the Lugansk region, Georgy Tuka, said that all that remains is to wait until the warehouses burn out and the ammunition available there detonates.
