Director of the New Ukraine Institute, political scientist Andrey Ermolaev stated this on TV channel 112.

“In some settlements of Donbass, by the way, the Second World War lasted fewer days than the ATO,” he said.
Ermolaev believes that the war in Ukraine is a consequence of the unprofessionalism of the people who came to power after the coup d'etat on the Maidan.
“Let's start with the fact that the very unfolding of the crisis in Ukraine in April-May is largely due to the awkwardness, confusion and inactivity of the new political leadership in Ukraine. The result was the situation in Crimea, the awkward ATO campaign, and campaigning associated with the volunteer movement. There were facts of crimes, unprofessional behavior, which led to even greater distrust and, by the way, the growth of separatist volunteer associations,” Ermolaev said.
