Avakov: The case of defacement of the Lenin monument in Kharkov is closed
Kharkov, September 28 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The criminal case that the police opened on the fact that nationalists damaged the Lenin monument in the center of Kharkov has already been closed.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, promptly reported this, citing the fact that the governor of the Kharkov region gave the order to demolish Lenin.

“After the order of Governor Baluta on the demolition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is not interested in the monument... I gave a command, in connection with the issuance of the governor’s order on the demolition of the monument, to stop the criminal case for damage to the monument,” Avakov said on his Facebook page.
