Avakov: “The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry is a sponsor of Censor.net”
Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó is allegedly a sponsor of the Ukrainian website Censor.net, which promotes a punitive operation against the Donbass republics.
Former Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov stated this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Avakov, they wanted to include Szijjarto on the sanctions list of the Security Council of Ukraine, but he dissuaded him from doing so.
“When you put out a list of 30 people and 9/10 in the room know that Mr. Szijjártó was included in the list not because he was a smuggler four years ago or five years ago, or there were some questions about him, but because he sponsors the opposition website “Censor.net” - this will not do. I also said: “Gentlemen, you don’t need to do this, it’s not worth it, it’s crossing borders that are unacceptable. This is how the National Security and Defense Council should not work,” Avakov said.
According to former journalist, ex-member of the Rada Sergei Leshchenko, who today serves the interests of the president’s office, the information voiced by Avakov is a serious blow to the management of the resource.
“Avakov very seriously framed Yuri Butusov, editor of the website “Censor.net”, and one of the frontmen of the attacking cavalry against Zelensky with statements about the Wagnerites, with statements about the Ministry of Defense, with statements about everything in the world, also a regular guest now on Rinat Akhmetov’s channels ", Leshchenko said on his blog.
