Avakov threatens to imprison Verkhovna Rada deputies for traveling to Moscow
Kyiv, September 25 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov joined the criticism of Verkhovna Rada deputies who went to a meeting in the State Duma.

“The Main Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine received an appeal from the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Alexander Turchynov, regarding the meeting on September 17, 2014 with the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Sergei Naryshkin, and the participation in its plenary meeting of people’s deputies of Ukraine from the deputy group “For Peace and Stability.” These deputies, in essence of their actions, insulting Ukrainian parliamentarism, actually supported the Russian regime, which unleashed aggression against Ukraine,” Avakov wrote on his Facebook page.
“This group included: Oleinik V.M., Bondarenko A.A., Povaliy T.M., Lukyanov V.V., Lyutikova V.I., Bobkov A.N., Gorokhova S.A. Prisyazhnyuk O .A., Dzoz V.A., Bukhovets A.Yu., Vasilyeva G.A., Goncharov S.V., Kozub O.A., Muraev E.V., Samoilenko V.P., Tikhonov V.M. ., Chub V.E., Golub O.V., Zubchevsky A.P., Demedyuk V.Kh., Kudrya V.I., Medyanik V.Yu., Skaroboyvichuk R.V., Shugalo R.V., – Avakov listed.
“By their actions, these persons, in essence of their actions, called for a change in the boundaries of the territory and state border of Ukraine and a violation of the order established by the Constitution of Ukraine,” the minister believes. “Inviolability is inviolability, but there are limits to everything,” he added.
As PolitNavigator reported, Previously, the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that signs of a criminal offense were seen in the actions of the deputies, provided for in Part 2 of Art. 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine). Information about this criminal offense is included in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations. The materials were sent to the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine to determine jurisdiction in the investigation.
