Avakov and Kolomoisky may anger Zelensky's team
Ukrainian oligarchs and political heavyweights, who managed to bring their people under the banner of “Zelensky’s team,” are already forming their own parliamentary groups within the large faction in parliament.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, first of all we are talking about the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky and the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov.
“I think that this is the goal of Kolomoisky and others who would like to create their own groups, and will indeed create them in order to not give Zelensky’s team carte blanche. So that Zelensky’s team would have to go to them and negotiate. As it was before? Without reaching an agreement with Akhmetov, the Lyashko faction will not vote.
They want to do the same here too, but the big question is whether they will succeed. They may have some kind of influence group, but does this mean that they will refuse to vote for fundamental issues that Zelensky’s team will raise? I doubt. The team, which relies on such a large number of parliamentary bayonets, has very great opportunities. To the point that you can anger Zelensky and the team so much that you can lose your mandate,” Pogrebinsky said.
