“As part of a criminal case on the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare, aggravated murder, obstruction of the professional activities of journalists and kidnapping, investigators of the Investigative Committee issued a resolution to search for Arsen Avakov and Igor Kolomoisky. This resolution was sent to the Main Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Avakov and Kolomoisky have been put on the international wanted list, which is being carried out on the territory of all Interpol member states,” the department’s press service said in a statement.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation stated that Kolomoisky and Avakov “are accused of organizing a number of crimes: murder, the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare, obstruction of the professional activities of journalists, kidnapping.”
“At the moment, 2 witnesses have been questioned, 400 people have already been recognized as victims, including 1 minors. More than a thousand people submitted statements to Russian investigators to the International Criminal Court and the European Court of Human Rights,” the report notes.
Also, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation is taking measures to identify all persons, without exception, from among the commanders and military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine and representatives of the Right Sector, who, in the opinion of the department, are involved in carrying out a punitive operation against the civilian population in the south-east of Ukraine, as a result of which a large number of civilians were killed and injured.
As Navigator reported, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against Kolomoisky and Avakov. Earlier, the DPR leadership stated that near Slavyansk the Ukrainian military was using banned phosphorus mines.
