Avakov aims for prime minister with presidential prospects - expert
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, is the link between the Ukrainian government and the American supervisors represented by the Democrats, who in the future can provide political advancement to their “supervisor.”
Alexey Mukhin, general director of the Center for Political Information, said this on Vesti FM radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is clear that Ukraine now has its own curators in Washington – these are Democrats. And this supervision is carried out through Avakov.
That is why Avakov accompanies Vladimir Zelensky on all his trips, which in one way or another may affect the foreign policy of Ukraine, especially at meetings in the Normandy format.
We observed this strange presence, commenting on the situation, but, in fact, it is control. Avakov is the beholder. I think that he will extend his powers as Minister of Internal Affairs, but his ambitions are, of course, the prime minister’s post – with a presidential perspective in a few years,” he predicted.
At the same time, the expert noted that Avakov continues to strengthen his influence on Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, trying to completely subjugate him.
“Avakov controls the main resource of current Ukrainian politics - the Nazis. The German situation of the 30s is repeated in a caricatured form, but, unfortunately, all nearby countries, including Ukraine, will suffer from this comedy and caricature.
Avakov is the richest man in Ukraine at this stage. A person who can and most likely will try to exchange cash for power.
I have already said that, according to my information, Avakov made an offer to Vladimir Zelensky to change his internal routine and switch from those people with whom Zelensky is working now, I mean the oligarchs, to him personally.
I think that such a mandate was given to him during Avakov’s last visit to Washington for negotiations with the democrats,” concluded Mukhin.
