Avakov aims for prime minister
The main beneficiary of Vladimir Zelensky’s victory in the presidential elections is the current head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov.
Lvov journalist and TV presenter Ostap Drozdov said this on air on the Syla News Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Drozdov believes that Avakov, who retained influence under Zelensky, has plans for the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine.
“I believe that the winner of the 2019 presidential elections is Arsen Borisovich Avakov. He is the main beneficiary of Zelensky's victory. This is not Kolomoisky, strange as it may seem, but Avakov. I am inclined to believe that Avakov now has the greatest influence on Zelensky. Plus, he managed to subjugate the entire paid power unit, which for $300 can kick anyone to any order. It’s all under Avakov.
Therefore, now Avakov looks like the strongest player in that “green” camp. He, of course, will retain his positions... Avakov wants to be prime minister under Zelensky, such an agreement exists,” Drozdov said.
