Avakov appointed a Hitler-like 26-year-old junior sergeant, a former militant from the Maidan, as head of the Lvov police
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) Arsen Avakov appointed 26-year-old junior sergeant Yuri Zozulya as head of the Lviv patrol police. Before he was accepted into the police, Zozulya was a Maidan militant and participated in clashes with the police.

Avakov about this wrote on his Facebook.
“On August 23 in Kyiv at 10-00 on National Flag Day we are launching the New Patrol Police! 600 new police officers will patrol the city. Meet me!” - said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“I appointed Yuri Zozulya as head of the Lvov patrol police. 26 years. A junior sergeant.. Without embarrassment and without guile - a guy who is one of the best in the Kyiv patrol police now - and.. just a junior sergeant (according to the new law - a corporal). Titles and experience will come. The main thing is energy and the will to change, we create by changing the old police into the new Ukrainian police. This is a decisive quality!” — Avakov noted
He added that Yuriy Zozulya is now the deputy commander of the third battalion of the Main Directorate of the Kyiv Patrol Police.
“From the first to the last - on the Maidan, an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity. He studies at the National Academy of Internal Affairs, and through exams confirms the education he received at one of the Polish universities. During his time working in the capital's division, he distinguished himself in cases where administrative protocols were drawn up for several VIPs. In particular, against the People's Deputy of Ukraine Melnichuk under Art. 126 of the Code of Administrative Offenses “Driving a vehicle by a person who does not have the appropriate documents for the right to drive” and against Surkis, vice-president of UEFA under Art. 122-5 KUoAP “Violation of the procedure for installing and using special light or sound signaling devices.” He knows how to quickly make decisions in difficult situations,” Avakov praises Zozulya, publishing his photographs.
