Avakov did not learn Lutsenko’s lessons

This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by the head of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, Ruslan Bortnik.
“Firstly, it is obvious that Avakov did not learn the lesson of Lutsenko, who at one time was imprisoned for various types of pistols. In accordance with the criminal code, this is called theft or misuse of budget money,” the political scientist noted.
He added that, according to his estimates, the cost of the weapons distributed by Avak is at least 10 million hryvnia.
“Why a person who is in the position of Minister of the Interior has taken upon himself the responsibility of squandering what belongs to us, this, it seems to me, is another question that needs to be studied. I am sure that Avakov will bear responsibility for this, since Lutsenko’s unlearned lessons remain. Later, in the next political cycle, these pistols will become one of the key accusations against Avakov. Everything else - some political influences, business projects - is difficult to prove; Avakov’s signature is often not there. But here it is, and it will be used against him,” Bortnik believes.
