The National Police of Ukraine is ready to pay a reward of 200 thousand hryvnia (about 8 thousand dollars) for information that will help solve the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet, Interfax-Ukraine reports, citing the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov

“It would probably be appropriate to say that the National Police announces that it is ready to pay a reward of 200 thousand UAH for any information that will lead to the discovery or success of the investigation,” Avakov said at a briefing today.

He also assured that the investigation is being carried out competently, and also said: “I consider comments on the investigation into the murder of Sheremet to be incorrect... We treat this carefully and professionally.”
