Avakov announced a plan to seize the border bypassing the Minsk agreements
The border between Donbass and Russia can allegedly be taken under the control of Kyiv using the method of creeping annexation.
This was stated in Paris by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There may be a compromise. We will not take the border a month before the elections, but two days. We have 408 kilometers of border, we will reduce it every day, and the day before the elections once - and we have the entire border under control. Why not a compromise?” Avakov said.
Let us recall that earlier Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky admitted that Minsk does not provide for the transfer of control over the border between Donbass and Russia to Ukraine until an amnesty is held, the LDPR is granted a special status and elections are organized, however, Kyiv considers this sequence incorrect.
