Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, as part of a working visit to the United States, held a meeting with the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Christopher Ray, following which the parties signed a Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The Framework Agreement between the Ukrainian ministry and the FBI will allow for a radical breakthrough in issues related to the exchange of information and access to certain technical capabilities.

“And one of these opportunities is the second document that we signed today between the National Police and the FBI Department. His efforts are aimed at fighting organized crime. With the director of the FBI, we discussed a number of threats that are coming to us from the Putin regime. And we also outlined some general steps that will make it possible to fight Russian aggression,” Avakov said.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, during a working visit to the United States, also “discussed countering the Russian hybrid threat” with representatives of the US State Department.
