The cyber police staff will be formed by November 5, 2015. Cyber police officers will be recruited through recertification of employees of the cybercrime units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In addition, an all-Ukrainian recruitment for cyber police will be announced.
The main task of the new police will be to combat cybercrime, in particular, skimming, phishing, piracy, online fraud, as well as “illegal content that promotes extremism, terrorism and separatism.
