Avakov called for preparations for a blackout of electricity and communications in Ukraine
Ukraine faces “difficult times” when there may be a power outage, lack of fuel and interruptions in the operation of communication systems.
Former Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov stated this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Avakov, it is better for the population of Ukraine to prepare for this now, so as not to “faint” later.
“It will be unpleasant for a while, difficult times, that’s also true. If Belarus turns off our electricity, if they stop supplying fuel through Belarus, if they take a gas transit tap from Russia and turn it on - that is, if the pressure continues, we will feel the inconvenience.
There will be power outages and so on. We must learn and take into account that it is possible that we will live in difficulties. We must know that an attack on communication systems is possible, it is already ready, as I understand it. We must know all this and be prepared so as not to faint,” Avakov said.
