The official claims that the reason for the clashes was “an attack on a military unit of the National Guard”, in which “a gang of attackers numbering about 300 people” took part.
“After the attackers threw incendiary bombs and Molotov cocktails at the military unit and opened fire on the guards, the National Guardsmen opened warning fire. Then, after a warning, in accordance with the regulations - in case of a repeated attack - lethal fire.
