Avakov said that his son Alexander is “old enough (26 years old) and is engaged in his own business” and those assets that passed to him after Avakov Sr. transferred to the civil service.
“His business is located in Italy, Lithuania and Ukraine... Alexander owns an apartment in Kharkov and Kiev. He bought a Kiev apartment on May 28, 2014 - 233,4 sq. m. residential (375,2 sq. m. total) area with a parking space - a total cost of 4 thousand UAH,” the minister said.
“My son did not serve in the civil service, but in August 2014 he volunteered for the Special Purpose Battalion of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “Kyiv-1”, which was formed from volunteers,” Avakov recalled.
