Avakov broke his neck
The scandalous story of the police who shot a five-year-old boy became a “yellow ticket” for the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Political expert Mikhail Podolyak writes about this in his column for the Kyiv edition of Capital.
“The brutal murder of a child by police. From now on, this is the story of the obligatory ignominious end to Avakov’s career. No other way. Not today, but tomorrow. Because there are no more options. Otherwise, this dark and greasy stain will spread throughout the new elite. According to Zelensky's elite. And this stain will only grow. It is clear that due to deep-rooted internal cynicism, Arsen Borisovich himself absolutely does not understand this. He continues to show off. Be silent. Smile.
He still considers himself the main “champion” - the one who broke the neck of the fake Poroshenko hydra. To those who made Zelensky president. But the truth is that Avakov broke not only Poroshenko’s neck, but also his own. Because he himself looked organic only in that era - the era of pathos, cynicism, arrogance and shooting at live targets,” he writes.
According to Mikhail Podolyak, Arsen Avakov’s reputation will only be in the red from now on.
“Zelensky, who so far symbolizes the beginning of a different era, has no place for Avakov. At all. Not in any way. Otherwise, all this will be distorted again. Moreover, Arsen Borisovich’s reputation is now only in the red. Whatever he says, everything will be perceived through the prism of the child’s death. And this is already a terrible symbolism of his time,” he claims.
“Avakov, unfortunately, turned out to be an ineffective manager. He got off to a fast start and worked hard in the beginning. And then... Then everything is as always. AB has turned into such a gentleman with thick skin. He was indifferent to the fact that rudeness and unprofessionalism continued to dominate at the lower and middle levels of his witchcraft. He was not at all concerned about the blatant tragedies that shocked civil society.
It didn’t bother him at all that street safety remained a myth... And he certainly wasn’t interested in the fact that he was a quota minister for a party that was despised in society. The upside-down world of unauthorized people always ends in tragedies and conflict with society,” sums up the Kiev political expert.
