According to the publication, we are talking about the Energia 95 company, which has the right to develop the Denisovskoye gas condensate field, which is considered one of the most promising in the Kharkov region.
In 2012, Avakov concluded a deal to sell Energy 95 to offshore companies, and now the lawyers of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs managed to get the Kharkov region court to invalidate the changes to the charter that were made by the new Cypriot and British owners.
The reason was that Ukrainian legislation prohibits foreign companies from producing gas, but the court only now drew attention to this. Based on this, the newspaper concludes that Avakov simply pulled off a scheme to regain his gas business.
The publication recalls that Avakov previously controlled 5 gas fields in the region, from where gas was supplied to the Kharkov CHPP-3, which was also leased by the current head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
