Avakov nevertheless opened a criminal case against Kivalov
Odessa, October 15 (PolitNavigator, Artemy Glazunov) – Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov confirmed the existence of criminal proceedings for bribery of voters by Sergei Kivalov.

Avakov wrote about this on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Dozens of criminal cases of bribery have been opened. For example, yesterday in the Odessa region about the well-known Kivalov,” the minister wrote.
Let us note that the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Odessa region confirmed this information and reported that the investigative department entered statements into the ERDR under Part 1 of Art. 157 (obstruction of the exercise of electoral rights) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of this article provides for restriction of freedom for a term of 3 to 5 years or imprisonment for a term of 2 to 4 years.
As PolitNavigator reported, the story of criminal proceedings on the fact of bribing voters by Kivalov has been going on for quite a long time: On October 10, this was announced by Advisor to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko. Later at the press office Kivalova denied this information and even provided relevant documents from the prosecutor’s office. The minister reports that production is still open - although only on October 13.
