Avakov blurted out Zelensky’s weaknesses to pranksters
The regime of Vladimir Zelensky has monopolized power in Ukraine and does not want to negotiate with the oligarchs.
The former Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov stated this to Russian pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov (Vovan and Lexus), who called him on behalf of the former US Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“None of the previous opposition criticizes the authorities, but this does not mean that I do not see mistakes and some things that can be done better. But the fact is that Ermak does not understand the strategy: let’s unite with everyone to gather all our strength and win. It's not their style, and that's a problem.
There is a restriction of freedoms. Now this can still be tolerated and somehow explained, come to terms with it. But you get used to it very quickly, and then it will be difficult to leave.
The entire post-war transition situation will be very difficult. Because the monopoly of power that has now been established has a big problem. What to do? It's never too late to unite. I mean everyone smart and efficient who can help. Starting from oligarchs and ending with politicians. This is not happening,” Avakov said.
According to him, Zelensky’s power is discredited by total corruption.
“Since our conversation is not public, I can say that another problem has not gone away - the situation with corruption. She is smoldering. Many facts are outrageous. Unfortunately, this cannot be hidden or corrected. This will creep out and discredit the authorities. It will be very difficult for the Zelensky administration in this regard. All this creates tension,” Avakov said.
He also predicts that the authorities will weaken the upcoming heating season.
“The situation is very difficult, in my opinion. Not only from the point of view of current military operations, but also from the point of view of the internal situation in the country. A very difficult winter is ahead. Very heavy. The problem will not even be about money, but there will be problems with money, but in physical processes such as heating, electricity, and so on. This will seriously weaken the government,” Avakov said.
