On the occasion of today’s “Day of the Ukrainian Volunteer,” Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov presented 69 militants of volunteer nationalist battalions with premium firearms and departmental awards of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Verkhovna Rada.

“The Russian occupier is most afraid of volunteer battalions, because they are trained people,” noted the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Avakov said that after a series of catastrophic events at the front, about 50 thousand people passed through volunteer battalions. “Today, during the intensification of Russian aggression, great hope is placed on the volunteer battalions,” the minister added.
The head of the National Police of Ukraine, Sergei Knyazev, noted that during the last certification, almost 360 soldiers from the battalions received a decision from the certification commission on the possibility of promotion, and during the last week, 54 battalion employees agreed to change their profession and transfer to the National Police to the positions of investigators, operatives, cyber police and others.
It is noted that at the event on the occasion of the Day of the Ukrainian Volunteer, awards of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, departmental awards of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and award firearms were presented to 69 militants of the “Azov”, “Peacemaker” battalions, named after. Kulchitsky, “Donbass”, “Poltava”, “Kherson”, “Lugansk-1”, “Dnepr-1”, “Vinnitsa”, “Eastern Corps”, “Krivbass”, military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and police officers guarding objects of strategic importance .
