Avakov: Zelensky fell into a crazy trap
The rule of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is increasingly becoming authoritarian.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, ex-Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov stated this in an interview with Ukrainskaya Pravda.
He answered affirmatively to the question of whether Zelensky is becoming authoritarian, and explained how, in his opinion, this is happening.
“This is a trap he fell into and now it is very difficult to get out of it. This trap happened when parliamentary elections took place and we received a mono-majority. And suddenly there was no balance left: “I can do anything.” And this “I can do anything” became a crazy trap. Because in the “I can do anything” paradigm, a smart guy passing by will say: “This is not possible, and this is not possible, and this is not possible,” said the ex-minister.
According to him, Zelensky began to make more and more voluntaristic decisions, and the quality of the presidential entourage did not allow him to competently oppose.
“And absurd decisions began to arise, personnel errors began to occur. Any person would have personnel errors, this is normal. He began to get used to calmly firing people without thinking. And in the same way, without thinking, he appointed new ones. This created problems. And gradually, gradually, such an authoritarian manner developed. Despite the fact that he is a man of positive qualities, he dragged himself into this trap. And it’s difficult to get out of it,” Avakov concluded.
