Avakov benefits from provocations of nationalists in Donbass - Kiev expert
The founder of the Azov regiment and the head of the National Corps party, Andrei Biletsky, who is the informal leader of the protest of Ukrainian nationalists against the disengagement of troops in the Donbass, acts on the orders of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov.
Kiev political scientist Dmitry Levus said this on air on the UA: Donbass TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The volunteer movement is not monotonous and homogeneous; there are, among other things, influence groups. Specifically regarding the volunteers who are in Zolote, specifically regarding Mr. Biletsky, he has his own game, he has a certain game on the side of the Minister of Internal Affairs, so it is difficult to talk about how independent their actions are,” he noted.
At the same time, according to the expert, it is beneficial for the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs that the nationalists continue to demonstrably “muddy the waters” in the Donbass.
“For the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in principle, it is beneficial for these provocations to continue. That is, on the one hand, there are people who are sincere in their desire to protect the country, and, on the other hand, they are trying to be used in this regard. Therefore, I think that we will still see aggravation, although I do not think that it will come to any serious confrontations,” Levus summed up.
Let us recall that earlier Donetsk journalist Sergei Makarenko also expressed the opinion that the provocations of nationalists in Donbass may be a specially planned operation by Kyiv.
