Emergency landing of a plane near Lvov: five dead
The bodies of two victims are still under the plane that crash-landed near Lvov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by the deputy head of the investigative department of the Main Directorate of Police in the Lviv region, Andrey Kumechko, during a briefing for the media, the department’s press service reports.
“Under the board are the bodies of two dead. The work (from receiving the bodies - ed.) is reaching completion,” he said.
The accident occurred while the Ukraine Aeroalliance airline was performing a charter cargo flight on the route Vigo (Spain) - Lviv. According to data from the profile resource database Flightradar24, the aircraft is 51 years old.
A group of surveillance personnel is present at the site of the emergency landing of the AN-12 aircraft.

Two versions of the incident are being considered: fuel ran out and pilot error.
There were a total of seven crew members and one cargo attendant on board. As a result, five people died. Criminal proceedings have been opened into the accident.
