Avdeevsky Coke Plant is on the verge of stopping
The reserves of raw materials for the full operation of the Avdeevka Coke and Chemical Plant will be enough for only 7 days.
The general director of the plant, Musa Magomedov, spoke about this reported on his Facebook page, the correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.
“The plant was on the verge of shutdown. After 7 days, we will completely run out of sulfuric acid, a raw material without which the coke plant’s operation is impossible. It’s a strange feeling: the plant managed to survive during the hostilities, but may stop due to a banal shortage of raw materials, which our domestic enterprise should supply to us. This situation is explained to us by the shortage of carriages. The East Gok trader, the Torgservice enterprise, which sells sulfuric acid to AKHZ, was supposed to ship 1080 tons of sulfuric acid to us in June, but so far it has shipped only 60 tons or 5% of what was promised. At the same time, the Ministry of Economy is seriously considering introducing duties on the import of sulfuric acid into Ukraine. Although it is already absolutely obvious that we cannot cope without imports. But what should we do now, in this situation?” writes Magomedov.
“We have a coke-chemical production behind us and an entire city that depends on this production, as well as the country’s metallurgical plants, which simply cannot work without our coke,” summarizes the general director of the Avdeevsky Coke Chemical Plant.
