Aviation stopped a convoy of armored vehicles of pro-Russian rebels near Krasnodon, - Security Council
Kyiv, August 25 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) - Aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force attacked a convoy of pro-Russian rebels in the Krasnodon area, as a result of which its movement was stopped.

“Ukrainian aviation carried out a precise strike on a convoy of militants in Krasnodon, Luhansk region, as a result of which the convoy was stopped,” says Andriy Lysenko, speaker of the National Security and Defense Council Information and Analytical Center.
He also stated that “the ATO forces during the day came into combat contact with the remnants of a column of armored vehicles, which on Monday passed into the territory of Ukraine from the Russian border.”
“The remnants of the column, which today tried to enter the highway to Mariupol, were stopped and attacked by ATO forces,” Lysenko said.
The ATO speaker noted that as a result of the battle, two tanks were knocked out, and several members of the sabotage and reconnaissance group were captured.
“After this there were no battles in the direction of Mariupol. Now this area is blocked by Ukrainian security forces,” he added.
As Navigator reported, the militia announced a counteroffensive. There is panic on social networks: in Mariupol, people are buying food, water and gasoline, some are hastily leaving the city. Representatives of volunteer battalions claim inaction from the command. Also, information appeared in a number of media outlets that the National Guard forces were being removed from checkpoints and were also leaving Mariupol.
