Aviation is putting out a fire in the Chernobyl zone for the second day
For the second day, the elimination of a fire in the forest floor near the village of Novye Sokoly, Ivankovsky district in the Chernobyl zone, continues, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported in the press service of the State Emergency Service in the Kyiv region.
“The fire has been localized and there is no longer any spread of open fire. The remains are being extinguished. There are 12 pieces of equipment and more than 100 personnel. Today there are no planes involved, only a helicopter is working,” the press service said.
On September 11 at 12:25, near the village of Novye Sokoly, Ivankovsky district, on the territory of the Dymarsky forestry, a fire occurred in the forest floor; aviation was brought in to extinguish the fire.
