Kolomoisky's airline declares billions in losses
In 2018, Ukraine International Airlines increased its loss by 2017 times compared to 8,9, to 2,696 billion hryvnia, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
This is stated in the agenda of the general meeting of shareholders, reports the Kiev publication “Economic Truth”.
Thus, at the meeting of shareholders it is proposed to approve the company’s loss for 2018 in the amount of 2,696 billion hryvnia.
“To approve the financial result of the company’s activities for 2018 - a loss in the amount of UAH 2,696 billion. Due to the lack of net profit of the company for 2018 and retained earnings of previous years, pay fixed dividends on preferred shares in the amount of UAH 2,045 thousand from reserve capital,” the text says.
Let us remind you that Ukraine International Airlines was founded in 1992. The fleet includes 45 aircraft of various modifications.
UIA operates more than 1,1 thousand regular flights per week. The base airport is Boryspil International Airport.
According to the State Register, 100% of the airline is directly or indirectly controlled by the Cypriot Ontobet Promotions Limited, whose owners are not disclosed.
One of the final beneficiaries of the company is businessman Igor Kolomoisky.
