Sevastopol, August 18 (Navigator, Olga Nikolaeva) – The roof collapsed in the presidential cadet school under construction near Victory Park in Sevastopol on Monday morning.

“A third of the roof collapsed over the future assembly hall. Now the Investigative Committee, the prosecutor’s office, the police, law enforcement agencies, the city’s emergency rescue services, and state experts are working there,” he said.
The governor expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased.
“We saved on welding work or were in a hurry to finish construction by the beginning of the school year. When the roof was being poured with concrete, the metal frame of the roof bent and collapsed,” Sevastopolskaya Gazeta quotes one of the workers.
The decree on the creation of a cadet school in Sevastopol was signed by Vladimir Putin on March 19. It should be built on a vacant lot near Victory Park in record time - in just 5 months. A banner at the construction site informs that the school will begin work on September 1 and will occupy an area of 10 hectares.
The customer is the regional representative office for the Southern Military District of the Russian Ministry of Defense. The contractor is Spetsstroy of Russia.
