An Australian documentarian wrote an article about the guilt of Western media in instigating wars in Syria and Ukraine
Famous Australian journalist and documentarian John Pilger on his website опубликовал a new article denouncing Western war propaganda. “The distortion of the truth about Ukraine is one of the largest cover-ups that I remember. Westerners fear the rise of fascist anti-Semitism in Europe, but no European leader ever mentions fascists in Ukraine—except Vladimir Putin, but he doesn’t count,” writes Pilger.

“Warmongering with Russia has the same editorial writers as those who published the lie that Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction.” – continues the documentary filmmaker.
He recalls: “that same year, shortly after the US invasion of Iraq, I was filming an interview in Washington with Charles Lewis, a famous American investigative journalist. I asked him: “What would happen if independent media questioned and ultimately challenged what turned out to be crude propaganda?” He responded that if the journalists had done their job, “there is a very, very good chance that we would not have gone to war in Iraq.”
Impressed by this statement, John Pilger asked the same question to other famous journalists, and received the same answer from them.
“In other words, if journalists had done their job, if they had challenged and exposed the propaganda instead of amplifying it, hundreds of thousands of men, women and children would be alive today, and there would be no ISIS, siege of Aleppo or Mosul , the conflict in Donbass,” he concluded.
