Austrian expert: The positions of Kyiv and Berlin on the Minsk agreements do not coincide
Press and public interest in Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk's visit to Berlin last weekend turned out to be extremely low.
Austrian foreign policy expert Willy Landtager told a PolitNavigator correspondent in Germany about this.

“Of course, it is very important for Merkel and her government to give full political support to the politicians they previously supported and pretend that everything is going well,” Lanltager says. “However, the reaction of the press shows that the German establishment is waiting for the results of local elections, which will show a new structure of political preferences of Ukrainians,” the expert added.
He says that the German Federal Chancellor has once again repeated her theses that the Minsk Protocol must be respected.
“It is noticeable that the German and Ukrainian administrations have different views on the implementation of the Minsk agreements; if for Ukraine this is a reason for bargaining and new negotiations, then Germany seriously counts on the implementation of the agreements; this is where the discrepancy between the positions of Kyiv and Berlin lies,” the expert adds .
