The leader of the Austrian Freedom Party said that Russia is by no means the aggressor in the last decade, and that Russia is forced to defend itself rather. Heinz-Christian Strache is one of those European politicians who advocates close cooperation with Russia, interrupted by the crisis in Ukraine. He emphasized that due to sanctions, the Austrian economy lost more than a billion euros, and due to Vienna's accession to them, Austria lost credibility as a neutral country.

The politician admitted that the EU is not a sovereign state association that depends on the interests of the United States. Heinz-Christian Strache called for the creation of an alliance between Russia and the EU, similar to the “Holy Alliance” concluded in 1815 between the Russian Empire, Austria-Hungary and Prussia. Let us remember that this union existed for several decades and was an effective interstate association.

“It is not Russia that is the aggressor of the last decade, whose zone of military influence extends right up to the borders of the European Union,” noted Heinz-Christian Strache Strache, recalling that it is NATO and the EU that are moving closer to the borders of Russia. In his opinion, the Europeans must make it clear to the Americans that they will not be able to turn Europe against Russia.

The politician said that Euromaidan did not occur without the participation of foreign intelligence services and foreign-funded NGOs.
